When the plan includes at least one dimension line or a labelled scale, Planhaus typically reconstructs room dimensions within 1–3% of the source drawing.
Accuracy drops on plans with no scale reference, heavy annotation, or low-resolution scans. Planhaus always shows the detected walls, openings and dimensions for review, and you can correct any of them before the 3D model is generated.
Planhaus accepts PDF, PNG, JPG and WebP for floor plans, and PNG, JPG, HEIC and WebP for room photos.
Files can be up to 25 MB and 8000 pixels on the longest edge. For the most reliable detection, upload at least 1500 pixels on the longest edge with even, glare-free lighting.
Yes. Planhaus exports 3D layouts as glTF/GLB, FBX and OBJ for tools like Blender, Cinema 4D and Unreal, and as DXF for CAD workflows.
Renders export as PNG and JPG up to 4K. Parametric wall data travels with the glTF and DXF exports, so the geometry stays editable in your downstream tool.
On paid plans you own the renders and 3D models you generate, and may use them commercially — in client proposals, property listings, and marketing.
Free-trial outputs are watermarked and licensed for evaluation only. You remain responsible for holding the rights to any floor plan or photo you upload.
